The finest atmosphere for the Siberian Husky and German Shepherd Dog Mix is certainly not the desert. These dogs do not like the water hence it is not a good idea to keep them in hot climates. These dogs will not be able to cool down and will be distressed if they need to use water to cool down.

At two years, these canines can weigh within the range of 65 to 70 pounds. They are comparatively large dogs with soft, silky furs. As to their attitude, they are usually very good-natured and yielding. There are times that these puppies tend to be perceived as wild because of being energetic. It is desirable that German Shepherd with long hairs should be shaved in the summer to keep their bodies cooler.

Major disease of these types is the Valley Fever which is common among dogs who are fond of digging. This can be treated by an antifungal medication. These dogs are generally witty and are trainable, thereby making them great companions.

Both the Siberian Husky and the German Shepherds are cold weather dogs. Therefore a cross breed of the dog is also not fitting to warm conditions. The shepherds have four layers of fur and the husky has five so it is conceivable how hot it would feel to have for 4 winter coats in the summer. These dogs require ample exercise and room to run about hence it is a nice idea to start keeping the puppy outside from five weeks onwards. However, do not leave it passed over.

These dogs are very easy to feed and the puppy takes very well to foods like milk bone, peanut butter and cream cheese. Consent with the taste of the pup and they should be well fed and happy.

One method of training them is to hide some treats around the house. This will foster the intelligence of your dog. German Shepherds are commonly red, green, brown or black, and crossing them with huskies give them a varied color. Both breeds have eye and head marks that can also be seen on the cross-breds. Huskies usually have soft hairs while German Shepherds has coarse coats. Among the characteristics of huskies are the curved tail and light eyes that are also seen on cross breeds. Best qualities such as shepherd's loyalty and husky's running ability make them great combination.

Low appetite might mean that they have worms which tend to be prevalent during summers. Siberian Huskies, being sled dogs, tend to eat minimally due to their slow metabolic rate.
