Should the climate in one's area prove to be variable in temperature throughout the different seasons then one will experience a limitation in what they can grow. This can be especially troublesome in regions where the winter is known to be quite harsh.
An indoor location in contrast will allow for greater control of the environment. This will give one the ability to grow their crops all year in areas that do not otherwise allow it. The one problem that might be encountered is the lighting. Thus it is advantageous to have a room that has a large window or access to a greenhouse.
