The Main Differences Between Scrapbooking Albums - Part 2

By Janette Miller

In the last article we looked at the difference and advantages ring bound and postbound scrapbook albums.

This time we will be turning our attention to the various types of custom designed and themed scrapbook albums available.

Un-themed Albums

We should start off by taking a look at albums that have no theme set in any way. These are largely a blank canvas, waiting for you to add your own touch of creativity to make it really yours.

You might find that not one of the custom themed albums are ideal for you or you simply need to make something that's truly your own design. In this case an un-themed album is right for you. They can be found in all colors, dark, light, pastel and fluro as well as ring and post-bound kinds.

You can also get some with light or general decorations like pin stripes, light swirls or vines, just to break up the solidness a bit. Its also a great platform to begin adding your own decorations too!

Themed scrapbooks

There is a huge variety of themes available for scrapbooks. If you can imagine it, possibilities are that there is an album that has got a pre-designed theme available for it, though you will have to hunt around for it a bit.

The most typical themes that pop up are wedding, children, disney, sports, baby and high school scrapbook themes.

If you aren't taken by any of the specific themes, there are a bunch of 'designer ' themes that are not centered around a particular subject, but have a lot of flair and character to them. Chances are you'll find one that is just right for you.

You will find that the majority of these are post-bound albums, with the occasional ring bound album available.

If you keep your eyes out, I'm sure you'll find an album that is just suitable for you!
