The Broadway show is about the two young Mormon missionaries in an isolated village in Uganda, Africa. The said village was not safe and is under the critical state since it was being threatened by a vicious war lord who has the strong desire to conquer the whole place.

Moreover, despite the risks of getting killed, the two missionaries chose to stay in the village and decided to fulfill their mission even if it will not be easy. Instead of becoming scared for their lives, the two missionaries started to spread the words and scriptures that were found in the Book of Mormon, which they always bring with them. Although the future is bleak for them, they never backed down to the challenge of converting the entire village to their religion - the Mormon.

Who were the missionaries involved?

Elder Price - he has a strong faith which he often uses to face the problems and difficulties present in his place. For him, everything is achievable as long as he will put his faith where it should be.

Elder Cunningham - he was a socially-awkward missionary who has the habit of embroidering facts and truth, which most often bring him into deep trouble.

When the two missionary have set their feet in the village of Uganda, African, they realized that the place is severely beleaguered of the different dilemmas such as poverty, violence, and AIDS. All of these problems could force these two young missionaries to back-down and return to their homeland, but instead, they chose to stay and put their faith into test.
