However, it takes a lot of time to remove the plants one by one but it is safe because harmful chemicals that would find their way up the food chain are not used. The plants are also removed from the roots; therefore, there is no likelihood that they would sprout again immediately after weeding. Using this method one can remove them just as they start growing; therefore, one does not have to wait for the herbs to mature.

It will be very effective if you remove the unwanted herbs from a small garden. But you can consider employing individuals that would help in the farm on the weeding day. For those who insist on using organic farming techniques. Another method would be pouring hot water over the herbs. Hot water kills both the matured herbs and their seeds.

The limitation is one must be extra careful so that the hot water does not burn the plants you are protecting. Soapy water has been proven to be a good killer of unwanted plants and they work well during hot days but ensure to use a spray bottle. Other useful methods are through alcohol spraying and undiluted vinegar. Ensure you do not spray the plants that you need to remain on the farm because they would die too.

Corn meal gluten is very efficient for very young or herbs that are yet to grow. It can also fix nitrogen from the soil and prevent the growth of the plants. The advantage of the corn meal gluten is that it does not kill grass. However, the people are disinterested in organic methods of farming and weed prevention.
