Books comes in several genres mostly they are more focus on love stories, horror events and also puzzling things which is commonly known as mystery books. A mystery book is the most famous among the rest, not just because of its storyline but also on how interactive it is. If you read some of this type of books, you usually find yourself solving the puzzles on your own.

This why more and more writers these days are more focus on writing mystery books. Writing these kind of books can be quite mind puzzling especially if you are new. You will be creating your own puzzle and solve it on your own as well. There are a lot of best mystery book series available nowadays that you cannot actually count them by your own hands.

Mainly, all books start with a story line which should be as detailed as much as possible. This is the fundamental thing most writer start with to make sure they have the overall structure on how to start and finish the book.

This story structure should catch the readers attention by providing exciting events and puzzling questions. It should be as create and mysterious as long as possible so that it you can hold the readers attention and keep them reading. Characters should not be reveled instantly, make something like a transition.

The chapters should always end something that gives the reader to question what will happen next. This will keep the readers attention especially if they are interested on what is going to happen. The point is, always create an enigma after each chapter to keep them turning the page but do not be too monotonous and serious that it will hinder the fun.

On top of the story line, you should also understand what are the attributes your characters should have. They need to have that element of coolness in them as well as that perseverance. Also, the character should be somewhat intellectual as well because he will solving puzzles.

Plot twist is the juice of the story. This is the part of the book that most people will remember. Ensuring that this part is beautifully crafted should be the goal of the author. Of course, the twist should not be too obvious.

Having a good twist can surely capture the readers attention and will keep them going. As the writer, you should make sure that the twist is not that obvious because it can ruin the whole story. It should be passive as much as possible but giving them little clues on what is going to happen.

Finally, you should always aim for that element of surprise to come out. You can do your own techniques to ensure that the element is there. Just be sure that the book is still engaging because this is what most people love.
