How Commuter Bicycling Quality Increases Thanks To Alterations

By Rob Sutter

I think that commuter bicycling is going to be home to a number of elements, each of them playing into how well this hobby is able to run. Of course, you're most likely going to focus on the environment and see which aspects are able to make the ride easiest for you. However, I'm starting to see, more and more, that there are changes in order to make the process better for some. It's worth talking about these because it goes to show how tremendous this method is becoming.

Huffington Post Canada put up an article recently and it seemed relevant considering how great the Citi Bike program within NYC had become. Smart design has been able to increase the amount of riders in the world and there are many instances of this in the world. For example, Japan instituted an underground park system for riders so that they could better secure their vehicles. Seeing as how stolen vehicles have become an issue, this is a tremendous advancement that, hopefully, other parts of the world benefit from.

College was mentioned in the article as well, which doesn't surprise me considering the many types of travel to consider. Companies along the lines of Linus Bike have shown that these rides can be utilized for a number of reasons. There are models which are meant for those who are looking to get exercise in while others are simply vying for a way to get from one place to the next without any other bells and whistles. It's clear that there are a number of ways to get into commuter bicycling.

Sometimes the design choices can come from the rides themselves as opposed to the environments around them. For example, electric bikes have seemingly gained a reputation for perpetuating the aspect of laziness and it seems like there is debate as to whether it is a legitimate form of transportation in this regard. I may not have been able to utilize such a machine in my life but it seems like there are modern features worth talking about. I'm sure that many could benefit from on-board Wi-Fi, for one.

With so many changes potentially to come in the future, I'd like to think that this hobby should be looked at more often. It's one of the best that you can get into if you're someone who wants to get into exercise more often. There are many models to choose from as well, so don't think that the range of selection is going to be limited. These types of rides are going to be ones which benefit you, no matter which environment you travel within.
