Tips On How To Apply Stage Makeup Kits For Schools

Whether you are participating in a dance or a musical, it is critical that you put on stage makeup. Stage makeup kits for schools affect the public perception of your stage performance. When done well, your performance will be lively but if it is poorly done, you will appear as if you are ill.

Before applying makeup, make sure that your skin is clean. You should add a toner that will make your skin complexion even. At this point you should make sure that the toner you are using is alcohol free. This is because stage makeup usually dries the skin especially when exposed to the stage lights.

After embarking on the toner, put on the foundation. It should be of a slightly darker color than your skin tone. Start by applying it at your forehead as you approach your hairline before applying it to your entire face. In case you are putting on an attire that will leave out your neck and ears, to avoid the mask effect, ensure you also apply the foundation to these areas too.

It is important that you accent your eyes using an eye shadow first. You should pick a shade that is light neutral. You are supposed to use it to put emphasize the brow bone. Then take a darker shade and use it to highlight the eyelids. Picking two shades that blend will ensure that there will be good blend where they meet. To achieve a dramatic look, line the top of your eyelids using a dark or brown shade.

When accenting your eyes, apply the eye shadow first. Use a shade that is light neutral on brow bone so that you highlight it. After doing this, find a shade that is darker for the eyelids. Whilst still on this, ensure that they blend at the point where the two shades meet. Pick a brown or dark shade to line the top of the eyelid to give you a more dramatic look.

The color of the lips affects your overall facial makeup. Due to this, choose a lip liner that matches the shade of the lipstick. A lip liner will contain your lipstick by preventing it from spreading to your face in case you get heated up and sweaty. After the lip liner, apply the lip color. At this juncture, you should get to know which color of attire that you will wear so that you pick a lipstick that will blend perfectly.

You should then work to set your makeup. This is done by using a translucent powder that will hold your make up so that in case you sweat during the performance, the sweat will not wash it away. To do this effectively, you must use a brush to put on the right amount of powder to your face.

After putting on your stage make up, take a few steps from the mirror and take a general look at yourself. Your makeup should be slightly exaggerated because the stage lights will combat its dark shade. The audience will be looking at you from different angles and at different distance. Make sure that in whichever angle or distance the public sees you, they are able to see your expression while performing.
