Taking Care Of Your Eyes

By Mark Jualliody

According to researchers, the number of visually impaired people in the world is increasing really fast. The term visually impaired is not just used to refer to the blind alone. It may also be used for those whose eyesight are deteriorating.

This is starting to get alarming. What's more alarming is the fact that the age of those who have impaired vision is becoming younger. Even kids are experiencing vision problems nowadays. This has caused many to draw attention to finding methods to improve vision naturally.

The most important thing to do is prevention. So you have to take good care of your eyes while your vision is still good. The following are some tips on how to take care of your eyes:

* Eat healthy-the eyes need certain nutrients like vitamin a and beta carotene which can be found in some fruits and veggies.

* Don't strain your eyes-avoid reading for long hours or staying too long in front of the computer. this causes eye strain which would eventually damage your eyes. If you can't avoid doing it then just make sure you take some breaks and give your eyes some rest.

* Wear protection-use uv protect sunglasses outdoors or antiglare lenses when you use the computer.

These are some of the things you can do in order to avoid getting a laser vision correction surgery. but if you already haved some problems with your vision there are still some natural ways to improve it. Here are some of the things you can do:

* Blink-you might think that it's so basic. Consider your eyes like a hardworking computer that needs to be refreshed. The action of refreshing your computer has the same effect on your eyes when they blink.

* Hand patch-this simply means you have to use your hands as an eye patch. Close your eyes for a while after using it for a long time. Try to put your palms softly over your eyes. Your hands can provide a relaxing warmth to it.

But aside from exercises to improve vision naturally, you should also consult your physician. The best practice is to have eye check up annually. This is really for people who have already experienced visual impairment. Make sure that you only use products and exercises that are approved by your physician.
