Cavachon dogs are a mix between Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise and is considered a designer dog because of this. They were first developed in United States and became popular fast in other countries due to their looks and temperament. This would make them a great choice as a pet for families with children.

This breed is not recognized as an official one by the international kennel clubs so some have guidelines established for their proper breeding. Cavachon puppy for sale are being searched by people who are looking to buy one as a new companion in life. Here are some important information that must be known about this breed.

These are small dogs with fluffy thick coats that are either wavy or curly and can be of different color including white, red, brown or tricolor. A perfect choice for people living in small apartments or houses because of its small size. They had inherited physical traits from both of their parent breeds and have athletic bodies.

They have a gentle, kind, and affectionate nature which loves the company of humans and other dogs and animals. Strong bonds are formed easily with their owners and likes to be involved on things in the household that are happening. They like to play interactive games because of their fun loving and intelligent character.

It has an awareness of the environment and lets owners know immediately when strangers are around though their nature prevents them becoming a good watchdog. A downside of having them as a pet though is they do not like being alone for a long time. So it is ideal for families which has one person that always stays at home.

These dogs are intelligent and can quickly learn new things so training them is enjoyable and easy due to them being receptive. They love receiving praises and would do their best in doing things right to receive them from their owners. It is best to use positive reinforcement training with them rather than harsh correction methods because they are sensitive.

Training them in a heavy handed way may result in them becoming timid, retiring and shy though allowing them to usually have their own way may develop behavioral issues with them. It is important to have them socialized immediately after being fully vaccinated. Introduce them to new situations, other people and animals and strange noises as many as possible.

Proper handling and proper behavior around them must be taught to children to avoid the dogs from being injured or getting scared. Adult supervision is highly advised when the children and the dogs interact because of this. Observe proper care when they are socializing other animals to keep them safe from each other.

Their average life expectancy is around twelve years when cared for properly and fed a good quality diet appropriate for their age. They suffer from hereditary health issues just like the other dog breeds specially those coming from their parents. Regular grooming is needed for their coats and skin to be in top condition and daily exercise is needed for them to remain healthy and fit.
