Tips In Growing A Mini Crape Myrtle

Bonsai making had been an art for and been practiced for millenniums in Japan. Today, this type of growth controlling had been considered as one of the best way to conserve trees. Nature lovers who does not posses big properties for trees always buy such for they are very convenient and does not eat big space. And since crape myrtle will grow bigger, many of the condominium owners are looking for mini crape myrtle for sale.

To starts, look for a healthy potted baby myrtle, be sure that it is good enough for a bonsai process and not too tender. If you already have it then gently remove it from the pot. Take good care of it that the stem and roots will not be detached. For if it will be, then the plant is no longer useful for the artwork and you will be wasting it.

Now, wash away the soil the roots were holding using a hose which water flow is so strong to erode a number of it. In this way you are to wash out the soil and soften the some parts which cannot be eroded. If you will take out the soil without using water, you might harm the plant and this will be the reason that it cannot survive its recovery stage.

Then you can have the cutting of unnecessary elements. Let us check the roots first, if you think that it is too long and thick for your desired size, then cut it using a knife and do not attempt to saw it. Roots have their main root, that will be mutilated, just a few inches enough for it to hold exact roots needed. The branches must also be cut but this will be discuss later.

A small pot and a sphagnum moss will do for this process. Pour enough amount of moss into the pot make sure that the moss is already moistened. Do not also forget to cover the whole root with the same kind of miss before placing into it. Once it was already in place, then hardly press the moss so that excess waters will be squeezed.

You can also buy a bonsai dirt for this. This type of dirt is made out of fifty percent pebbles and fifty percent compost dirt. Just put soil deep enough into the lower part of the pot. Then put the plan and cover it with the dirt. Press it gently to make it intact.

Controlled growth must be observed in maintaining a bonsai. This is to say that its branches must go sidewards and its stem must be twisted for you to control its height. By doing it, you have to cut off the branches exceeded not just on the top but also to the lower parts of the stem.

Speaking of shape, you have to use small wire for its branches for you to control its shape. And use the big wire to create a patter for your bonsai. Roll the small wires into the branches and and lay them horizontally for the meantime. The get the pattern and cut them using a twig scissor by following its shape, so the parts that will exceed to the line must be cut.
