A Look Into Bulk Scarves

By Flora Vinson

Many people wear bulk scarves especially when the weather does not agree with loose thin clothing. When it is chilly outside people will result to wearing heavy clothes which retain heat within the body and prevent losses in body heat to the atmosphere. There are many climates in the world but all at some point will turn frosty, necessitating the use of scarfs.

The scarf is referred to as a piece of clothing worn around the neck and is used to cover the chest and facial areas so as to provide warmth and keep colds and flu away when the weather is chilly. The fabric is mostly heavy like wool or thick cotton.

As with all fashion statements, the scarf can trace its origins to the Roman civilization, in its heyday. The scarf was introduced to humanity as a simple handkerchief, used by men to wipe the sweat off their brow when the sun scorched the land. It was first used by men and had no important use.

The Chinese also had a special scarf which was used to identify a warrior. These were only worn by those of rank in the military and no one else could adorn themselves with these garments. As time went by, others also picked up this symbol of warrior hood. Croatians also adopted the Chinese method around the seventeenth century.

The scarf, during ancient times, was not used by women at all. In fact, this piece of cloth was frowned upon as it was of no real use. This is until fashion took over and became important in the society. Designers sprang up and revolutionized the scarf to allow both sexes to wear and adorn themselves in it.

Only recently have the male species regained their confidence in these pieces of cloth and have now started to wear them as fashion statements and also as garments to keep out cold weather. They are made from either thick or thin materials, depending on the use they are intended for. bulk scarves are used the world over and are here to stay.
