There are millions of people that use iTunes on a daily basis, but are they really getting everything out of the Apple software? While there are a number of great explanations for the uses of the different tools within iTunes online, most people just use it to play and sort their music files. iTunes is always being updated with new information and tools by Apple. Many people do not pay much attention to these updates and upgrades however, and they miss out on important new features. iTunes has been transformed from its humble beginnings to a completely revamped and terrific music program from Apple.

When trying to organize your music files on your computer, iTunes is a great asset. In order to get all of the files that are related to each other together, just use the "organize files" feature located within your library. After finding all of these important files, you can then bring them into your library by clicking on the "advanced" tab. So that you can access your files easily, they will now be located in your iTunes media folder. If you are looking for a way to backup all your files so that you do not accidentally lose them, this is the perfect solution. According to your preference, you can backup your files using iTunes if you desire.

There are a few different ways to organize your files within iTunes as well. The way that you choose just depends on what you prefer. There are those out there that choose to sort the songs in their digital music collection all by the genre that they are. There are also those who sort things by the artist so that they can easily find all of that particular person or band's work very quickly using iTunes. You can also sort your music out through different playlists that you have created. A playlist is a group of songs that you have selected because of a specific preference that you had to them and put them all in one folder.

Making a playlist is easy with iTunes because all you need to do is drag the digital music files to the playlist folder that you desire. It is also possible to burn the songs that you have included in your iTunes playlist onto a CD. If you own or use a CD player, you can then listen to your digital music playlist from iTunes anywhere.

Today, there are special radio stations that have online broadcasting that is set up for use with the iTunes software. It is now possible to listen to your favorite radio programs and stations on iTunes no matter where you are and what time it is. All you have to do is click the "radio" feature in the menu of iTunes and select whatever station that you desire.
