Tips For Improving Your Golf Swing Now

By Lance Lynes

There are so many tips to improving your golf swing that it can be extremely hard to know who to listen to. Some players have 5+ tips going through their heads, and it is amazing that they can even swing the club at all. If you are tired of getting advice from your 25 handicap playing partners, here are some things that really work to boost your game.

First, figure out what you are doing wrong. Yes, that sounds incredibly obvious, but many players have no idea why they are consistently missing to hit the ball. The good news is that there is only one thing you have to fix-not 10. Many players have the mistaken notion that they need a perfect motion, and in order to achieve that they work on 10 things at once. However, fixing one aspect of your game is often more than enough to produce extraordinary results.

But how do you identify your mistake? Well, you would need to have your swing recorded in a video. It would rather be hard to check what you are doing wrong without seeing your swing for yourself or taking a lesson. You might think you are doing right but in fact you don?t. Thus, you would need to see yourself in motion in a video so you can actually see the problem.

But if you don?t want to go into the trouble of video recording then you can also resort to this alternative. First step entails fixing your tendency to slice as most players do. You can fix this by strengthening your grip, closing your stance through pointing toes in, and also bringing the club back more straight back.

Loosen your grip, open your stance and swing a bit harder if you have problems with hooking. Whatever the problem is, try to loosen your grip. The problem with most players is that they are far too anxious when standing over the ball. Just relaxing alone frequently works to correct your swing errors.

Regardless of what your problem is, make sure you use these tips one at a time. Do not attempt them all at once. Instead, focus on one thing, and see if that helps. If not, move on to the next thing.

Thus, there are numerous ways in improving your golf swing. Power bands and the like that you may see featured on Golf Channel might help you, but it is not recommended to depend on them so much. Choose to get a visual record of your swing by a video to check what is wrong. Then, you can also resort to the mentioned tips.
