People Who Live Through Eviction In Chicago

By Frank Graham

There are quite a few human beings living all across the world who have had to give up their apartments or houses. Some of them have even faced eviction in Chicago and this is a very large location to dwell within. Once a person is put out of their nice cozy home they will face the cruel reality of being homeless.

Sometimes these individuals have no immediate family members to help them with this particular struggle and this is very bad. One woman by the name of Susan was very well liked within her neighborhood and her husband enjoyed having this woman in his life. The two of them would attend block parties together every summer and the other individuals around thought that they were indeed a happy couple.

The couple loved to party on special occasions and they made sure that there was plenty of alcohol within the household to consume. Susan loved to call her husband by his nickname Pete since many people around did not like his real name at all. Women everywhere had made love to Pete and this was okay in Susan's mind.

Whenever Pete had his fair share of liquor this male would start cursing and screaming at Susan in high volume. Susan was also intoxicated at this point in time and she did not care about the cruel words which were stated to her. She also knew that there was a nice small gun within the bedroom.

Luckily this was one woman who could not shoot straight and she managed to miss her target each and every time the gun went off. The police were called into their home on more than one occasion but the two people decided to stay together since their love was still strong. This behavior went on for nearly twenty years and it looked as though neither one of the humans were willing to change.

Towards the end of one week Pete was determined to get rid of the grass which was growing rapidly in his yard. He hated looking at this green problem which seemed to get longer each and every day. Fortunately he managed to do a good job within the yard and it would have cost him a fortune to hire people to do this task.

Susan was busy within her lovely kitchen making all types of pies and cakes while her husband was taking care of their fine yard. Suddenly she could no longer hear his laughing and singing and thought that something was terribly wrong. Her instincts were correct since she found her lover flat on the ground after she ran outdoors. He was truly dead and there was nothing else that Susan could do for him.

A few weeks after the funeral was over several police officers came to Susan's home and demanded her to leave the premises. It turned out that Pete never owned the house that they were living in and it did in fact belong to his former wife. Susan was saddened by this turn of events but she knew that Pete's first wife was a landlord who wanted her gone.
