Liverpool Football Club Latest News

Every football fanatic knows Liverpool FC. The most awarded club of all time is currently at position 10 in the EPL having played 18 marches in which it has clashed in 7 marches, drew in six, and crashed in five. This month the Merseyside club has played in the Premier League, Europa League and in the league cup where it has won two games lost in two and drew in two marches. That is only fair. The club has not exhibited thorough fare.

Daniel Sturridge snatched the lead when he scored two goals in just two minutes. Just before halftime Divock Origi, deflecting a shot by Alberto Moreno added the reds goals. Off the bench Jordan Ibe replacing Sturridge, added the fifth goal to the advantage of the flourishing Reds. To cap it all Origi completed his hat-trick near the end of the game to give the men in Red an emphatic 6-1 win. But during the December, no such score-sheet has been produced by the club.

In their latest game the reds, playing against Sunderland-won the game 1-0, the winning goal being scored by Christian Benteke. The side-footer which came after half-time was the solo goal scored by the Belgian and helped the team scoop victory at the stadium of light. In simpler terms the team was ultimately saved by the effort of the Belgian and lifted their position to the seventh position in the Premier League standings. It was a breath taking game with the season half gone. Benteke had come in for Origi, the only change in the game.

On the other hand, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher have been on the receiving end of a Senegalese fan. He claims that Gerrard is a great player but has a great ego and was not considerate on the teams victory but his only priority was scoring. To him, Carragher is a turkey who is not fit for the pitch. Players should improve their game on the pitch.

On the transfers the Belgian keeper, Simone Mignolette, may soon may be replaced by, League 1 giants keeper Steve Mandanda who has had a stunning performance. He is currently in tense talks with the Merseyside club. There are claims that Simone has been unstable in his contribution to the team and Klopp will have to weed him out of his position.

Liverpool will part with 7 million euros to attain services of Marco Grujic from Red Star Belgrade who will be leaving for Merseyside this week. However, since he will be remaining till the season is over, the reds will be receiving 1 million euros only. Grujic made his first debut when aged seventeen. He has scored five goals this term and also participated in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand, playing for Serbia.

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his hope to win at Sunderland. Sources say that he is confident in his players ability and confidence and claims that he will show how football should be on Wednesday where he is optimistic to win and earn three points. He was in frustration against Watford for being sluggish but happy when playing against Leicester due to quick goals.

The game of the team ended in a victory of 1-0 with frantic efforts by the Sunderland boys threatening to the end of the game. It was a good game saved from a deadlock and well-defended thus the Reds collected maximum points. This would in a big way boost their morale.
